Responsibilities
Tasks
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
- Perform routine clerical duties
- Prepare and submit reports
- Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
- Arrange for maintenance and repair work
- Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Maintain work records and logs
- Monitor personnel workloads and locations
- Organize warehouse and work areas
- Perform general office duties
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Recruit and hire staff
- Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
- Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
- Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner
- Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction and other projects
- Monitor production progress
- Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
- Provide customer service
- Train workers in duties and policies
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
- Assist with maintenance of communications equipment
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- Follow-up on issues with work orders
- Keep track of shipments
- Maintain vehicle operator work records
- Respond to urgent calls from individual who find themselves in life threatening situation and who require assistance
- Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Establish work schedules and procedures
- Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls
- Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
