Responsibilities
Tasks
- Load and off-load machines
- Notify supervisor or mechanic of equipment malfunctions
- Operate and feed a variety of machines
- Set up, maintain and make minor repairs to machinery
- Clean machines and immediate work areas
- Assist machine operators and other textile workers as required
- Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Operate a variety of machines to bleach, dye, coat or finish fabric, thread, yarn or other textile products
- Shave hides to uniform thickness
