Tasks

  • Assist in environmental audits
  • Conduct environmental audits
  • Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs
  • Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems
  • Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests
  • Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections
  • Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies

Computer and technology knowledge

  • Computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
