• Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

• Operate and tend various wood processing machines to remove bark, knots and dirt from logs
• Complete and maintain production reports
• Reduce logs or sawmill waste into wood chips or flakes
• Operate and tend equipment to peel and slice veneer from logs and log sections
• Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and splice veneer sheets
• Operate and tend equipment to dry lumber and other wood products
• Operate and tend equipment to chemically treat and impregnate wood products with preservatives
• Observe panel indicators and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications
• Assemble plywood panels
• Start up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment or machines
