A few days before my birthday, my mom and I went to work in the Czech Republic to earn some money, since during the war we had nothing to eat and no way to make a living. After working there for half a year, we returned to Ukraine to help our grandmother, who is 83 years old. Of course, I could have stayed there and let my mom go back to Ukraine alone, but you can’t put a price on the time spent with loved ones.
