- Maintain studio operations: Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols in the ceramics workspace. - Report and documentation: Submit updates to senior leadership or affiliated organizations, including financial and activity reports. - Coordinate staff and volunteers: Assign roles, support training, and foster collaboration among ceramicists, potters, and support staff. - Encourage innovation: Promote experimentation with new materials, firing techniques, and design trends. - Recognize contributions: Publicly acknowledge team members’ efforts to build morale and encourage long-term engagement Set creative standards: Define the aesthetic and technical benchmarks for pottery and ceramic works produced under the section. - Mentor artists and technicians: Provide guidance on techniques like wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing, and kiln firing.
